Obert Mthombeni is an accomplished engineering and facilities management executive and serves as Director at Trinity Lights Engineering. He brings extensive leadership experience across the energy

and private healthcare sectors, with a proven track record in managing complex infrastructure within highly regulated environments. His career includes senior engineering and leadership roles at electricity utilities and Healthcare industries, Obert served at Facility, Regional and Group management levels, where he was responsible for engineering governance, compliance, asset management, capital planning, and operational performance across multiple sites.

Obert is recognized for his strengths in healthcare engineering systems management, facilities and asset optimization, risk and compliance leadership, and strategic operational execution. Through Trinity Lights Engineering, he now provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership in engineering services, facilities management, and professional consulting, delivering safe, compliant, and resilient infrastructure solutions that support healthcare and commercial delivery and business continuity.

We operate as a principal engineering and facilities management partner, providing governance, performance management, and technical leadership over a network of approved multidisciplinary contractors.

Our Managed Contractor (Hosting) Model allows clients to access specialist technical capabilities across multiple engineering disciplines while retaining a single point of accountability for performance, compliance, quality, and risk management.

Our Operating Model

Under this structure, the client contracts directly with Trinity Lights Engineering. Trinity Lights Engineering then appoints, governs, and manages all specialist contractors. Accountability for performance, compliance, quality, and risk remains with Trinity Lights Engineering at all times.

Managed Contractor (Hosting) Framework

Under this model, Trinity Lights Engineering:

■     Acts as the lead engineering authority and facilities management partner
■     Hosts and manages approved specialist contractors across all required disciplines
■     Retains accountability for service delivery outcomes, not just coordination
■     Provides a single contractual, reporting, and escalation interface to the client

Clients engage Trinity Lights Engineering directly. All contractor activities are governed, monitored, and controlled under Trinity Lights Engineering’s management systems.
